1. Our text suggests that shame in adult batterers is linked with anxious attachment during childhood. Painful reactions learned in childhood, such as fear of abandonment, may rise again to fuel an assault against a partner who threatens to leave. Do you agree or disagree? And if the abused partner should move away from their abuser (down the block, another city/state, or even country, and get a restraining /order of protection, are they likely to be safe?
